Nature Walk along the Connecticut River

Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 10AM

With COVID rates declining and many getting vaccinated, we will resume our nature walks. We require all participants wear masks at all times. We are also asking you to sign up ahead of time with me by responding to this email. The group size will be limited; if more people sign up than space, names will be pulled from a hat, based on those who have RSVPed by the end of Tuesday February 16th.

In the last two weeks if you have done any of the following, please do not join us:

  • Been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID
  • Had any of the known symptoms ofCOVID or felt unwell
  • Been out of state/country

We welcome those who are willing to meet these guidelines. The details of the hike are as follows:

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 10AM, I will lead a walk sponsored by Middletown Recreation Division, along the Connecticut River. Starting at Harbor Park in Middletown, CT, between the restaurant and boat houses at 10AM, we will walk about a half mile along lightly traveled roads to River Road, which is closed to traffic. We will continue along the river where we may possibly see a bald eagle, and return along the same route.

This trip, flat, paved, and plowed, will last ~1.5 hours.
