Nature Walk At Hubbard Brook Preserve in the Maromas

Sunday, April 11th at 10AM

With COVID rates manageable and many getting vaccinated, we will continue our nature walks.

We require all participants wear masks at all times. We are also asking you to sign up ahead of time with me by responding to this email. The group size will be limited; if more people sign up than space, names will be pulled from a hat, based on those who have RSVPed by the end of Tuesday April 6th.

In the last two weeks if you have done any of the following, please do not join us:

On Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 10AM, I will be offering an early Earth Day hike at Hubbard Brook Preserve in the Maromas part of town through Middletown's Recreation Division. We will explore this 75-acre park protected by an easement from CL+P to CT Forest and Park Association. The Preserve offers protected habitat for plants and wildlife, with scenic vistas of the Connecticut River. The trip should last until approximately 11:30AM.
Wear hiking shoes, bring a snack and water, camera, binoculars if desired. Children under age 16 must attend with an adult 18+. Leashed dogs allowed.

Directions: Hubbard Brook Preserve, take Route 9 or Route 154 to Aircraft Road (exit 10 from Route 9). Follow Aircraft Rd about 2.5 miles, turn right onto River Rd (there is no sign, it's the first turn), parking on left ~1 mile from River Rd/Aircraft Rd jctn (GPS address: 3556 River Road). NOTE: This is NOT the River Road near downtown Middletown.
