Hi, With COVID rates manageable and many getting vaccinated, we will continue our nature walks. We require all participants wear masks at all times. We are also asking you to sign up ahead of time with me by responding to this email. The group size will be limited; if more people sign up than space, names will be pulled from a hat, based on those who have RSVPed by the end of Tuesday May 4th.
On Saturday, May 8 at 10AM, I will offer a hike at Guida Farms Conservation Area in the southern part of Middletown, CT, in association with Middletown's Recreation Division, as part of Screen-Free Week. We will explore this 100-acre area protected by the city and Middlesex Land Trust. The Preserve offers wooded areas, open fields, and small ponds. The trip should last until approximately 11:30AM. The trails include slight uphills and could be wet in some areas.
Wear hiking shoes, bring a snack and water, camera, binoculars if desired. Children under age 16 must attend with an adult 18+. Leashed dogs allowed.
