No Injuries Reported In Rollover Crash On Route 9 In Middletown

Officials said wearing a seat belt saved the driver's life.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — No injuries were reported after a rollover crash involving a pickup truck on Route 9 in Middletown on Monday morning, according to fire officials.

The South Fire District Firefighters IAFF Local 3918 union shared photos of the crash in a post on Facebook. The crash happened near Exit 12 on Route 9 North and wrote there were no injuries with the hashtag “#seatbeltssavelives.”

A woman wrote in the comments that the driver was her son and said they are from Rhode Island, so he wasn’t familiar with the area.

“He was making his way to his Army base (newly enlisted),” she wrote. “We are grateful that he is okay. The seatbelt saved his life.”
