Obituary: Frances Marie (Durinick) Thompson, 69, of Middletown

Franny, always remembered as kind-hearted and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, worked at Jarvis Airfoil in Portland for 35 years.

MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Biega Funeral Home) Frances Marie (Durinick) Thompson, 69, of Middletown, wife of the late Dale W. Thompson passed away peacefully on Monday June 21, 2021 at her home with her daughters by her side.

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Frank C. Durinick, Sr. and Tresa (Baker) Durinick.

She is also predeceased by a brother, Stephen Baker.

She was a graduate of Mercy High School class of 1971. She was a member of the Haddam Woman’s Auxiliary from 1972-1980.

Prior to her retirement, she was a payroll/AP admin with Jarvis Airfoil in Portland for 35 years.

Franny was a kind-hearted person that could make anyone smile and was always good for a laugh.

She cared for those around her selflessly and with all her heart. She will be missed by all that knew her.

To know her was to love her.

She is survived by her daughters, Robin Lombardo and her husband Chris of Middletown, and Rebecca Scrivens and her husband Sean of Middletown; step daughter, Christina Provo and her husband John of West Haven; sisters, Anna (Richard) Riebold of Haddam, and Jacquelyn (Roger) Tanguay of Higganum; brothers, Frank C. Durinick, Jr. (Nancy), of Higganum, John (Alice) Durinick of Haddam and Robert (Debra) Durinick of Moodus; 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Atalia, and Gabby Lombardo; Damien, Talan and Adalynn Scrivens; and Joshua and Annabella Provo; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday (June 26th) at 10 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chester. Family and friends may gather prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
