Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle, Critically Injured: Middletown PD

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday in Middletown. At around 5:35 p.m. on March 21, Middletown police responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on Country Club Road near the intersection of Preston Avenue.

Sgt. Doug Clark said a pedestrian, identified as Timothy L. Fisher of Middletown, was in the westbound lane of Country Club Road when he was struck by a 2018 GMC Terrain that was traveling westbound on Country Club Road.

Fisher was treated at the scene by Westfield Fire and Middlesex Hospital personnel and was taken to Hartford Hospital by Hunter’s Ambulance for further treatment, according to Clark.

Fisher was listed in critical and unstable condition as of 9 p.m. Saturday, according to Clark.

The crash remains under investigation and witnesses are asked to contact Officer Passacantando at 860-638-4063.
