Popular Food Truck Owners Opening New Restaurant In Middletown
The owners of a popular food truck are opening their first restaurant in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The owners of the popular Whey Station food truck will be opening their first restaurant this winter in Middletown, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Courant reports the husband and wife team of Jillian and Joshua Moskites will open the restaurant around Jan. 1 at the former Keagan’s Irish Pub site at 544 Main Street in Middletown. The restaurant will feature a split menu with “fun” and “fancy” halves with favorites like the gourmet grilled cheese and tater tots from the food truck along with fancier items, according to the Courant.
According to its website, the Whey Station is a “mobile food truck serving a menu of gourmet grilled cheese from classic combinations to innovative creations. We pride ourselves on making as much as possible from scratch, and using only quality ingredients with as much local products as well.”

“The Whey Station is comprised of a husband and wife team,” according to a post on the website. “Jillian has a culinary degree from Johnson and Wales University as well as 12 years of restaurant and specialty food experience with a focus on gourmet cheese. Josh attended Johnson and Wales Culinary Program and has 9 years experience in restaurants and specialty foods. Together they have combined their passion for gourmet cheese and home-style cooking to create The Whey Station.”
