Popular Restaurant Reopening In Middletown

Whey Station(ary), known for its gourmet grilled cheese and comfort food, is making its long-awaited return this week.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — After being closed for five months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Whey Station(ary) is making its return on Thursday. The owners recently announced the popular restaurant, known for its gourmet grilled cheese and comfort food, is reopening on Sept. 17.

“We want to thank all of our amazing patrons during this pandemic and are wishing you all safety and peace,” reads an update on the restaurant’s website.

Whey Station(ary), at 544 Main St. in Middletown, is reopening with reduced hours. It will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

“Thank you and we can’t wait to see you!” the owners wrote.

The Whey Station, the popular food truck that started it all, is also back making late-night stops on Friday and Saturday nights on William Street.
