Special Weather Statement Expired For New Haven/Middlesex County
Strong storms are moving through the area now.

NEW HAVEN/MIDDLESEX COUNTY, CT — A special weather statement has now expired for northern portions of New Haven and Middlesex counties.
A strong storm was reported around 5 p.m. At 4:53 PM EDT, the leading edge of a gust front from strong thunderstorms over Litchfield County was located near Waterbury, moving east at 40 mph, the weather service said.
Winds in excess of 45 mph are possible.

Waterbury, Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, Naugatuck, Southbury, Wolcott, East Hampton, Durham, Hamden, Cheshire, Cromwell, Portland, Prospect and Haddam.
