Xavier Leapfrogs Middletown In Latest Wrestling Poll
A panel of coaches and media members has submitted their latest weekly ballots picking the top high school wrestling squads in Connecticut.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The top 10 high school wrestling teams in Connecticut remained the same in the most recent weekly poll of coaches and media members, albeit in a slightly different order.
Danbury, as usual, received all 18 first-place votes to easily outdistance Bristol Eastern, which retained its hammerlock on second place. Southington moved up a spot into third, switching places with Fairfield Warde.
Xavier High School jumped three spots to sixth in the latest balloting, surpassing crosstown rival Middletown, which was seventh.

Also receiving votes: Killingly, East Haven, Ledyard, Montville, Greenwich, Waterford, Guilford, Enfield, Staples, Daniel Hand, Windham, Wethersfield.
