Xavier, Middletown In Top 10 of Initial Wrestling Poll
The first Connecticut high school wrestling poll of 2019 has been released.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — To the shock of virtually no one, Danbury High School was the unanimous top selection of voters as the best scholastic wrestling team in the state in the season's first round of balloting by coaches and media members.
The Hatters, winners of the past two State Opens and past three Class LL championships, received all 16 first-place votes. Bristol Eastern placed second, while Southington was third.
Xavier High School placed eighth in the initial balloting, while Middletown High School was ninth.
