13-Year-Old On Bike In Crash With Vehicle In Monroe: Report

MONROE, CT — A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle in Monroe Friday afternoon suffered a shoulder injury when he collided with a Jeep, reported The Monroe Sun.

The crash occurred in an unmarked crosswalk at the intersection of Cross Hill Road and Monroe Turnpike, and the driver of the Jeep was not cited.

Monroe police, however, gave a verbal warning to the boy for improperly operating a bicycle in a crosswalk.
