13th Annual Monroe Fishing Derby is on May 21

MONROE, CT — Monroe's 13th Annual Fishing Derby is on Saturday, May 21 from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and is open to children ages 3-15 years old. The event will take place rain or shine.

Bring your own fishing gear including fishing pole, tackle and bucket to transport fish to the weigh station. Worms for bait will be available while supplies last.

Prizes will be given for the largest fish of any kind by weight in five different age groups:

• 5 and under
• Age 6+7
• Age 8+9
• Age 10+11
• Age 12-15
