31 Roads Closed In Monroe, Massive Power Outages

Crews are working to clean up the mess.

MONROE, CT — Monroe has 31 road closures as of 10:15 a.m. Thursday, according to police. All state roads are open and passable in town.

Police advise residents to use caution while driving on back roads.

There are nearly 4,400 power outages in town as Eversource works to restore power. About 55 percent of the town is without power.

The senior center and Edith Wheeler Memorial Library are open today for those who need to get out of a cold house.
