Absentee Ballots For November Election Will Become Available On Oct. 2

The Monroe Town Clerk’s Office received notice from the Secretary of the State that their office will be mailing each eligible voter in Connecticut an absentee ballot application in the upcoming weeks for the Presidential Election being held on November 3, 2020. If you are choosing to vote absentee, your completed application should be returned to the Monroe Town Clerk’s Office in order for your information to be put into the State system qualifying you to receive your absentee ballot. Once your application is complete, please drop it off in the secure State Official Ballot Drop Box located outside of the Monroe Police Department. This drop box is available 24/7 and checked throughout the day.
If you are a college student and voting by absentee, please clearly indicate the address you wish the ballot to be sent to on your application.

IMPORTANT: If you have already mailed in an absentee ballot application for the November election, please complete the application that you receive from the Secretary of the State and drop it off. We will cross-check with the one we have already received.
Absentee ballots will become available on October 2, 2020. If you have requested an absentee ballot, it will be mailed to you directly from our office. Again, once completed, please utilize the secure State Official Ballot Drop Box located outside the front doors of the Monroe Police Department. This will allow us to process the information daily. It is your choice whether you use this system or decide to mail the absentee ballot through the post office.
At this point in time, all four polling places will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, 2020, should you wish to vote in person.
