Accident Leads to a DUI Arrest on Cutlers Farm Road

Police received a call of a loud noise at Cutlers Farm Road and Hawley Lane at 3:24 a.m. on Aug. 4 and officers found a silver 2000 Nissan Xterra with front end damage and foliage sticking out of the grill in the vicinity. An accident investigation determined it had struck a metal guide rail, then traveled 66 feet before hitting a tree, according to the report.

The driver, Michael Cerreta, 21, of Cutlers Farm Road, told officers he was on his cell phone to call a friend to pick him up and planned to report the accident when he got home, police said.

According to police, Cerreta said he slid due to the wet conditions, but officers noted the roadway was dry.
