Ansonia Man Nabbed For Dunkin Donuts Burglary: Monroe PD

The suspect in custody is one of two men police say burglarized a Roosevelt Drive Dunkin in December.

MONROE — Police have apprehended an Ansonia man in connection with the burglary of the Roosevelt Drive Dunkin’ Donuts on Dec. 27.

Joseph Marino, 47, was one of two people police say burglarized the shop, making off with their video surveillance equipment. They and their car were caught on other area business video systems, as reported by the Monroe Sun.

Police had responded to an alarm before 2 a.m. and found the drive-thru window was smashed.
A witness making a delivery said he saw a man leaving the store around that time carrying several items.

On July 29, Marino was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree conspiracy to commit criminal mischief. third-degree burglary, third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, third-degree larceny, third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of burglary tools, third-degree criminal trespass and third-degree conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, according to police.
