COVID-19 In Monroe: 6 Deaths, 82 Confirmed Cases
Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Monroe.
MONROE, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed that 82 cases of the new coronavirus have been reported in Monroe as of Saturday, and 6 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.
Statewide, another 648 lab-confirmed positive coronavirus cases were announced Tuesday out of 3,313 tests. Gov. Ned Lamont said that the ratio of positive to negative tests was good news. Unfortunately there were another 77 deaths as well.
There are now 30,621 confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut and 2,633 deaths have been reported. A total of 1,500 people are currently hospitalized.
