Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe Hosts Artist Reception

It's the opening of a show by Amy Valiante

MONROE, CT — The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe will be hosting a reception for the opening of a show by Amy Valiante on Friday.

Valiante is a native of Cape Cod and the islands, and paints realistic scenes of mountains, skies, clouds, trees and beaches. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Illustration from Syracuse University in 1993.

Living in Connecticut now for 25 years, Valiante's paintings made an appearance at the Apple Festival on the Monroe green in the fall of 2018. Her artwork will be on display at the Trumbull Arts Commission in June 2019. Her works are also displayed in local establishments throughout the state.

The reception will be Friday, March 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The library will be closed, and admission will be through the rear. Registration is not required.
