Financial Programming Online at EWML

Series of Four Events

Although MoneySmart Week has been officially cancelled due to COVID-19, the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library will be moving ahead with its previously planned financial programming by presenting it online. Over the next two weeks, four events are scheduled to help people understand and manage financial resources.

  • Maximizing Your Social Security Benefits – Monday, April 6th at 6:30 p.m.
  • Social Security Explained – Thursday, April 9th at 6:00 p.m.
  • Retirement Income Planning – Monday, April 13th at 6:00 p.m.
  • Medicare Basics – Wednesday, April 15th at 6:00 p.m.

All programs will be made available via the Zoom video conferencing app. They can be accessed through a weblink with ID and password that can be found on the library’s online calendar. Go to www.ewml.org for program information. People who need help connecting can contact library staff by sending an email to reference@ewml.org or leaving a phone message at 203-452-2852.

“In current times, it is more important than ever to provide financial information to our patrons,” says Library Director Lorna Rhyins. “The library is continuing to offer as many programs as possible while the doors to our building are closed.”
