Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Monroe

MONROE, CT — Another round of nasty weather is set to strike our area, and the National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook. All of southern Connecticut is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook, which calls for threats of flash flooding and a possible, albeit low, chance of damaging winds.
Here is a look at Monroe's hyperlocal forecast for the next few days, according to the NWS:
Today
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. High near 71. South wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 62. South wind 12 to 17 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Wednesday
Showers likely, mainly before 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 65. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming southwest in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. South wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable.
