Jan Koziol, 53, of Monroe, Passed Away

MONROE, CT — Jan Koziol, age 53, of Monroe entered into rest on November 28, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Dabrowa Bialostocka, Poland on January 15, 1963 the son of Teresa (Fiedorowicz) Koziol and the late Czeslaw Koziol. Jan was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle. He owned and operated his own trucking company called J. Koziol and Son LLC.

He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and was an avid semi professional motorcycle racer. He raced all over the East coast. His biggest passion in life was his family. Jan loved having his family and friends over for gatherings and building big bon fires for everyone to enjoy.

He is survived by his son Gregory Koziol, his brothers Mieczyslaw Koziol and his wife Ella, Zdzislaw Koziol and his wife Allison, his sisters Anna Kalinowski and her husband Zdzislaw, Jola Dalkin and her husband Christopher, and Elzbieta Koziol, and his 15 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at St. Michael's Church, 75 Derby Ave. Derby. Burial followed in the family plot at St. John's Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www.adzimafh.com.
