Joseph T. Buturla Jr., 68 of Monroe, Passed Away
He was a lifelong resident of Monroe, graduating Masuk in 1966. He enjoyed being outdoors, bow hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

MONROE, CT — Joseph T. Buturla Jr, 68 of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, December 27 with his loving family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Bernice & Joseph Buturla. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elaine Gulyas Buturla. His beloved children and their spouses, Jill Waite (Jim), Joseph (Stacey) & Jeremy (Nicole) Buturla. His special Granddaughters, Angelina & Lucia Buturla who he was fondly known as P-Pa.
He was a lifelong resident of Monroe, graduating Masuk in 1966. He enjoyed being outdoors, bow hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Joe also enjoyed restoring antique tractors. Doing woodworking for his family & friends was one of his favorite things to do. He was well loved by many people. Joe enjoyed his coffee at Bill's Drive-In with his buddies. His sisters include, Gina Marulli (Michael) Janice Moran (Dan) & Margaret Csuka (Paul). His in-laws, Paula Waite (James) Michael Gulyas (Donna) Peter Gulyas (Carol) and Judi Hermanson. Many neices & nephews loved their Uncle Joe. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 31 at 10 am at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home in Monroe.
Calling hours will take place Friday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Ronald McDonald House in Charleston SC in honor of Joe at www.rmhcharleston.org. Online condolences may be made at www.spadaccinofuneralhome.com.
