Juvenile Car Burglar Tried To Use Uber As Getaway Car: Report
Several vehicles in a Monroe neighborhood were burglarized. A suspect tried to use an Uber as a getaway vehicle, but he was arrested.
MONROE, CT — A suspected car burglar tried to use an Uber as his getaway car, according to police.
Police went to Fairlea Drive early Saturday morning on a report of someone trying to enter vehicles, according to the Monroe Sun. A stolen Audi was found in the area.
Later on, a juvenile suspect was seen trying to get into an Uber car. He said he was in the area to meet with a friend, but homeowners in the area said they didn't know him.
