Local Roads Tapped for Slowdown: DOT

MONROE, CT --- The Connecticut Department of Transportation has named two local roads in Monroe as affected by a pavement marking project over the next few weeks.

Lanes will be closed on Route 25 in Trumbull and Monroe, and Route 59 in Easton and Monroe from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday and Thursday evenings.

The state Department of Transportation says “the work will be performed utilizing a moving operation with intermittent closures of lanes to complete this work. Please use caution around this operation as these vehicles will be moving slower than posted speeds.”

Other roads affected are Route 53 in Norwalk, Route 53 in Weston, Route 135 in Fairfield, Route 136 in Westport and Route 732 in Fairfield.
