Masuk Emerges As Preseason Favorite In Connecticut Softball Poll
Seven different schools received first-place votes in preseason balloting of Connecticut coaches and sports media members.

CONNECTICUT — Game day has finally arrived for many high school athletes who had no spring season last year due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. As players prepare to take the field across the state, we take a look at the preseason softball poll of coaches and sports media members.
Masuk, the 2019 Class L champion, topped the poll despite collecting only two first-place votes. Waterford had three top nods to place second, as seven different schools were deemed worthy of the No. 1 by the panel of a dozen voters. In all, a whopping 38 teams earned votes.
Here are the top 10, with first-place votes in parentheses, as well as all other schools drawing support.
