Masuk Ranked 5th in Football Playoffs

Following the conclusion of the traditional Thanksgiving games, the high school football playoff picture has come into razor sharp focus, with 32 programs beginning their pursuit of four state championships next Tuesday.

The quarterfinal matchups in all four classes will take place Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. With one exception, the games will be played at the home fields of the higher-seeded teams (South Windsor does not have lights, so the site for the Bobcats game against Naugatuck has yet to be determined).

Here are the pairings and regular season records of the qualifying teams. Winners advance to the semifinals on Sunday, Dec. 3; the championship games are slated for Saturday, Dec. 9.

Class LL

• No. 8 Fairfield Prep (8-2) at No. 1 Greenwich (10-0)
• No. 7 West Haven (8-2) at No. 2 Shelton (9-1)
