Monroe Man to Join Immaculate High School as Assistant Principal
Monroe resident Steven Santoli will start as the new Assistant Principal of Immaculate High School on July 1, 2021.

MONROE, CT—Immaculate High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven J. Santoli as the new Assistant Principal. Mr. Santoli, a Monroe resident and seasoned administrator, comes to Immaculate High School from Assumption Catholic School in Fairfield where he served as the principal for the last six years. Prior to that he taught science and social studies at St. Thomas Aquinas School, also in Fairfield.
Under his leadership, Assumption Catholic School successfully piloted and implemented the personalized learning initiative, grew enrollment, and raised necessary funds to ensure future feasibility of the school.
Prior to joining the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Bridgeport, Mr. Santoli spent over a decade as a high school social studies teacher in New York and Connecticut. He also recruited and enrolled future educators as an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions and was a track and field coach at Sacred Heart University.

“Mr. Santoli’s expertise in the areas of curriculum, assessment and faculty development will further advance our programs and provide additional opportunities for all students to be prepared for college and beyond,” said President Mary Maloney.
Principal Wendy Neil added, “We feel so blessed to have Mr. Santoli join our Immaculate family. He brings many years of school leadership and classroom innovation to our community. Our department Chairs and faculty have a true partner in their mission to design and deliver quality programs.”

Santoli shared that he is “grateful for the opportunity to join the administrative team and serve the students, staff and families of the Immaculate High School community. The moment I stepped foot on the campus I knew I was home.”
Mr. Santoli holds an Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) and Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University, a Masters in Secondary Education from Dowling College, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Connecticut.
He will join students and staff in his new position on July 1, 2021 and will focus on curriculum, instruction and assessments.
“I look forward to becoming a Mustang and working with the dedicated faculty and staff to help make this great school even better,” Santoli said.
