MONROE, CT – Monroe town officials are sharing important voting information with residents ahead of November's election.

All four polling places in Monroe will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, for in-person voting.

All voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot in the election due to the coronavirus, according to a new state law. Voters can simply check the "COVID-19" box on the application.

Voters choosing to vote absentee must return a completed application to the Town Clerk's office in order to receive the actual absentee ballot. Applications may be dropped off in the secure State Official Ballot Drop Box located outside of the Monroe Police Department.

College students who are voting absentee should clearly indicate the address they would like the absentee ballot to be sent to.

Absentee ballots will be available after Oct. 2. If you have requested one, it will be mailed to you from the Monroe Town Clerk's office. Once your ballot has been completed, drop it off in the secure State Official Ballot Drop Box located outside of the Monroe Police Department.
