As Monroe Teachers Get Shots, Schools Will Go To 5-Days In April

The school system reportedly held a coronavirus vaccination clinic for education staffers on Wednesday.

MONROE, CT — Monroe public school students will return to in-person classes, five days a week, beginning after the April break (April 12-16), as the community ramps up vaccinations for school staffers, writes the Connecticut Post.

The district held a vaccination clinic at Masuk High School Wednesday, during which officials expect 75 percent of those who work in the school system will receive the first of two shots. The second dose is scheduled to be administered on April 1.

Members of the Monroe Health Department, and the town's Emergency Operations Team, organized the vaccination effort.
