Monroe Weighs In On Eversource Storm Response Investigation

Monroe residents who experienced a delay in having their power restored after Tropical Storm Isaias have a chance to share their experiences

MONROE, CT – Monroe residents who experienced a delay in having their power restored after Tropical Storm Isaias have a chance to share their experiences as part of an investigation into Eversource's response to the storm.

First Selectman Ken Kellog posted a message on the town Facebook page on Friday informing residents that the town was granted intervenor status in the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority's (PURA) investigation into Eversource's response to Tropical Storm Isaias and its impact.

"It is critically important that the experiences and concerns of Monroe residents are heard, loud and clear, during the PURA investigation," Kellogg said in the post.

Part of PURA's investigation includes recording responses from residents about their experience with Eversource following the storm.

Residents who lost power and are Eversource customers are encourage to share their experience and include information about how long they were without power, their ability to community with Eversource and any concerns they have this will happen again.

Residents can visit a town website where comments may be submitted and used as PURA testimony.
