Monroe Woman Finalist in Martha Stewart's 'American Made' Contest
All products are vegan and free of harmful chemicals and preservatives.

Kosmatology, a line of organic and natural skin care products produced in Monroe, is getting the national spotlight for being a finalist in the Martha Stweart American Made contest.
Dr. Janis Kosma Covey founded Kosmatology LLC after being unable to find high-quality skin care products free of preservatives and chemicals after the birth of her children. Dr. Covey utilizes her extensive knowledge and experience to create and produce a line of high-quality skin care products made with only high quality organic and natural ingredients.
Dr. Covey explains her business on MArtha Stewart’s website:
“My interest in organic and natural skin care began when my children were born. After the birth of my first child, I became interested in green baby products. I used cloth diapers, glass baby bottles and bought or made organic baby food. However, when searching for natural baby skincare products, I discovered there were few choices on the market. Since I have years of experience in creating products as a compounding pharmacist, I started formulating skincare products at home. With encouragement from family and friends, I decided to create a skincare line. My products are vegan-friendly and use organic and natural ingredients such as organic shea butter, organic olive oil and organic essential oils. These products are free from harmful chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, propylene glycol, petroleum, phthalates, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances and GMO’s. That’s why our slogan is ’Because what you put on your body should be as important as what you put in your body.’”
