National Trails Day A Success On June 3

Statewide there were more than 200 outings over the weekend.

Statewide there were more than 200 outings over the weekend, making Connecticut No. 1 in the nation for the annual celebration of the outdoors.

Under the auspices of the Connecticut Forest and Park Association, the hike was co-sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department, Monroe Conservation and Water Resources Commission and the Monroe Land Trust and Tree Conservancy.
