New Details On Monroe Sexual Assault: Report
Police said the alleged victim in the case attempted to commit suicide out of fear for Jose Perez.

MONROE, CT — Police learned of a sexual assault in Monroe after the alleged victim attempted tried to kill herself by drinking bleach, reports the News Times. Police arrested Jose Perez, 39, of Maplewood Drive last week in connection to the assault.
The 17-year-old victim was babysitting for Perez and told police she tried to commit suicide because of her fear for him. The alleged assault took place after he drove to a dark parking lot after she had been babysitting his children.
Perez was charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of public indecency. He posted a $50,000 bond and is due in court on Dec. 15.
