Number Of Coronavirus Cases In Monroe Continues To Be Low
The town reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the past week, according to First Selectman Ken Kellogg.
MONROE, CT — Monroe reported two new coronavirus cases in the past week, continuing the downward trend of COVID-19 in the community and the state, according to First Selectman Ken Kellogg.
"The state reports that almost every town in Connecticut had less than five cases per 100,000 population, or less than five cases total, during the last two-week period," Kellogg said, adding that because numbers continue to stay low, the town will host its final vaccination clinic on June 16. As of Thursday, Monroe has had 1,417 cases, and 16 deaths, since the start of the pandemic in March of last year.
