Rep. Sredzinski Tours YMCA Camp Tepee, Praises Work Helping Kids in Need Attend Summer Camp
Sredzinski, who serves the 112th District of Monroe and Newtown, toured a YMCA that offers camps to Monroe, Newtown and Easton students.

MONROE – State Representative J.P. Sredzinski (R-112) toured the YMCA Camp Tepee and Outdoor Center on Route 59 to learn more about both the camp and the year-round work of the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA.
Joined by the YMCA’s District Executive Director Tim Bartlett, Rep. Sredzinski toured the site which includes an aquatic area, tennis courts, and an outdoor activity area with hiking trails, rock climbing structures, and a zip line.
“The programs put on by Camp Tepee help instill self-confidence and independence in our community’s youth,” said Rep. Sredzinski. “I am impressed by the extensive grounds and also the dedicated staff I met with at the camp that work to make summer fun for hundreds of Monroe campers each year.

“I’m also very impressed with the YMCA’s commitment to helping people in need. Last year, they awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to members of our community and surrounding communities for programs that they would not have been able to afford otherwise. I appreciate all the work the YMCA does and look forward to continuing working with them in the future as a community partner.”
Camp Tepee hosts over 700 children each summer from Monroe and the surrounding area. For more information on Camp Tepee, please click here. For more information on the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA, please click here.
