Firefighters used a winching cable to pull a riding mower up an embankment on Hammertown Road and free the rider, a man who was pinned between the steering wheel and seat Thursday, at around 2:53 p.m.
Police said the man was mowing too close to the edge of his property and slid down an embankment, hitting a tree.
Police said there were no serious injuries and the man refused medical attention.
