Route 25 in Monroe To Be Closed This Weekend
The scheduled roadwork is dependent on the weather holding up.
MONROE - With more severe weather being forecast for this weekend, officials are keeping their fingers crossed that the third planned date for Route 25 roadwork can be completed this weekend as planned.
The last two scheduled weekends of work had to be scrapped due to the weather.
Assuming Mother Nature plays ball, Route 25 from Brook Street to Knollwood Street will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, August 17 through Monday August 20 at 6 a.m.

The work zone will extend through the shopping plaza south of Knollwood with alternating traffic on Route 25.

All businesses will have access through the shutdown. Local traffic will be re-directed onto Pepper Street and Old Newtown Road.
The roadwork is necessary to install a new box culvert at the Aquarion reservoir.
