Route 25 Road Work in Monroe Delayed Again
The DOT has said the work will proceed this coming weekend -- weather permitting.

MONROE, CT — The third time was not the charm this past weekend, as the threat of rain forced state Department of Transportation officials to once again postpone road work along Route 25.
The work, from Brook Street to Knollwood Avenue, had been scheduled to close the roadway for the entire weekend. Workers have been planning to replace two culverts and raise the roadway along that stretch for the past three weekends, but bad weather and forecasts of bad weather have intervened.
The DOT has said the work will proceed this coming weekend, from 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 through 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27 -- weather permitting.
