Snow, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Monroe

This isn't the storm of the century, but the weather service cautions snow will impact Friday morning's commute. We have the latest info.

MONROE, CT-- The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for all of Fairfield County for late tonight and early Friday.

The advisory states:

“Light snow late tonight into Friday morning will likely result in snow covered roads and hazardous travel conditions for the Friday morning commute.”


The latest details via the weather service:

Thursday: Mostly sunny with temps in the mid 30s, but it will feel much colder with the wind chill factor making it feel like between 15-25 degrees.

Thursday night: Snow begins after 3 a.m. and a half inch of snow is possible by daybreak.

Friday: Light snow continues until around noon with an additional inch of snow possible. Temps will only rise into the mid 30s and it will again feel much colder with the windchill factor.

We just need to get to next Tuesday and Wednesday where sunshine is forecast. On Tuesday, temps will be in the mid 50s but on Wednesday's we could see 60s!
