Support All the Republican Candidates

To the Editor:

On Tuesday, November 5th, I ask you to support all the Republican Candidates.

Sean O’Rourke is running for Town council with five Republican incumbents, Enid Lipeles, Deb Heim, Tony Unger, JP Sredzinski and Frank Lieto, all of whom are highly qualified and deserve your support. I wanted to personally endorse Sean, he is currently serving as a Planning and Zoning Alternate having been involved with the Plan of Conservation and Development and updating the Planning and Zoning Regulations. These two documents serve as the guiding policies for maintaining, developing, and balancing all facets of land use in Monroe. On Town Council, Sean will do his homework and bring thoughtful dialog to their discussions. Sean is fiscally conservative and will always act in the best interest of Monroe, representing you the citizens and taxpayers.

Christine Cascella is running for Board of Education, along with three well qualified Republican incumbents Darrell Trump, Donna Lane and George King. Christine grew up in Monroe and her children attend Masuk and Monroe Elementary. I’ve had the chance to talk with her on subjects including STEM, full day kindergarten, redistricting, declining enrollment, Common Core, the BOE budgets and the upkeep of school facilities.  Christine has a number of ideas to continue to improve on the delivery of education, while finding responsible solutions to implement cost savings and reduced expenses.

I also endorse our Tax Collector Emanuel Cambra.  I believe his understanding of Municipal government as a former chairman on the Board of Finance and as Treasurer have served him and the Town of Monroe very well. Manny’s integrity, tenacity, reliability, and conscientious approach to his position of Tax Collector have benefited the Town of Monroe through difficult economic times with high collection rates and adherence to State Statutes.

I urge you to support these three candidates and the entire Republican Team on November 5th.

Thank you.
