Aaron Rodgers, Chris Paul Golf Event At Mohegan Sun Aired Aug. 10

From Mohegan Sun Golf Club: Fans can watch all the fun, excitement and competitiveness that ensues when NBA and NFL star players and legends compete from Mohegan Sun Golf Club in the first-ever State Farm® Showdown Hosted by Aaron Rodgers & Chris Paul, set to air tomorrow, Friday, August 10th, at 8:00pm ET on TNT. The show will be televised on TNT immediately following the network’s live coverage of the100th PGA Championship from St. Louis.

Rodgers and Paul lead their respective teams in the first-of-its-kind, NFL vs. NBA charity golf tournament that showcases their skills on the course. In addition to the team-centric, head-to-head competition, the athlete’s participated in a number of “skills challenges.” Top moments from the show – which features golf commentary from Ernie Johnson andIan Baker-Finch along with comedian James Davis and Amanda Balionis as course reporters – include:

• Rodgers and Paul sharing key “insights” into the drafting of their State Farm Showdown teams
• Competitors showcasing their accuracy by hitting golf balls at glass targets featuring their opponents’ likeness
• A cameo appearance from Charles Barkley
• Rodgers, Fitzgerald and the football team demonstrating their skills as three-point sharpshooters
• Paul and the NBA team participating in quarterback drills

Nine-time All-Star Paul of the Houston Rockets captained the NBA team, with players including Hall of Famer Ray Allen, Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley and Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Kyle Korver. Two-time league MVP Rodgers led the NFL squad, which featured Super Bowl champion Reggie Bush, 11-time Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald and current Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.
