UNCASVILLE, CT — Adam Sandler will be appearing at Mohegan Sun in March. And Mohegan Sun appeared in Sandler's new hit film "Uncut Gems."

From a report in The Day, the scenes include Sandler's character's mistress Julia (played by Julia Fox) landing at the Sun in a helicopter, and running through the casino to place a win or lose bet for jeweler and gambler Howard Ratner (Sandler).

The filming took place in the fall of 2018 and the spring of 2019.

According to a report in The Day, a spokesperson for the casino said the shot in the film he most liked was of the helicopter landing with the hotel tower in the background.

From filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie, the crime thriller is about Ratner "a charismatic New York City jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score. When he makes a series of high-stakes bets that could lead to the windfall of a lifetime, Howard must perform a precarious high-wire act, balancing business, family, and encroaching adversaries on all sides, in his relentless pursuit of the ultimate win."

It's that last bet Julia places for him at Mohegan Sun on a Boston Celtics game that's the denouement. The scenes in the casino include her racing to make the bet, and later, in a suite at the hotel where she watches the game.

That's it though; no spoilers here.

The film has garnered a slew of accolades and awards and nominations, from film critics, film society's and associations, from Austin to Washington.
