CT Pastry Chef To Compete On Food Network Show

A heralded pastry chef will compete on 'Spring Baking Championship.'

MASHANTUCKET, CT — Franck Iglesias, who currently serves as the executive pastry chef at Foxwoods Resort Casino, will be one of 11 bakers competing in Food Network's next season of "Spring Baking Championship," The Hartford Courant reported. The season begins March 19.

The bakers must complete spring-themed challenges and will compete for a $25,000 prize.

Iglesias told the Courant that the experience on the show was "very, very humbling" and "more challenging than I expected."

Iglesias runs Cake by Franck at Foxwoods. He was also named a 2016 Top 10 Pastry Chef in America by Dessert Professional magazine.
