Fire Rips Through Montville Scrapyard

MONTVILLE, CT — Firefighters are battling a large scrapyard at a Montville scrapyard early Friday morning, according to FOX 61. The fire was reported around 1:15 a.m. at 33 Pequot Road.

The fire was not under control as of 8:15 a.m., FOX 61 reported.

State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded to the scene to analyze air quality, which was not deemed a threat. But area residents were advised to keep their windows closed.
