I am neither an economist nor an accountant and therefore my calculations may be a bit off, however, I believe Montville will see a 4 percent decrease in revenue under the governor’s proposed budget. Assuming the proposed state budget comes into effect as written as I expect it will, Montville needs to adjust the town’s budget to reflect the revenue loss. I think the town should implement a 4 percent, across the board reduction in funding for the various town departments and services including the Board of Education.
