Montville Election Results 2018: Local Winners Revealed

MONTVILLE, CT — Incumbent Democrat Joe Courtney won re-election Tuesday to represent the 2nd Congressional District, according to unofficial vote totals. He defeated Danny Postemski Jr., Republican Party; Daniel Reale, Libertarian Party; and Michelle Louise Bicking, Green Party.

Locally, in Montville incumbent Democrat Catherine A. Osten was re-elected in the 19th Senatorial District, defeating Republican Mark A. Lounsbury, writes the Norwich Bulletin. And in the 20th Senatorial District, Democrat Martha E. Marx lost to Republican incumbent Paul M. Formica.

139th House District: Democratic incumbent Kevin Ryan defeated Republican Nick DeLucia, according to The Day. Also in the 38th and 42nd House Districts:

• (38th) Republican incumbent Kathleen M. McCarty defeated Baird Welch-Collins, Democratic and Green parties.
• (42nd) Republican Mike France, the incumbent, won re-election over Elizabeth Schwebel, reports The Day.

For Judge of Probate, incumbent Jeffrey A. McNamara is opposed by himself, because he is running on both Democratic and Republican lines.

In the Secretary of State race the choices are: Denise W Merrill, Democratic Party, Susan Chapman, Republican Party, Heather Lynn Sylvestre Gwynn, Libertarian Party, and Michael DeRosa, Green Party.

In the race for State Treasurer the choices are: Shawn Wooden, Democratic Party, Thad Gray, Republican Party, and Jesse Brohinsky, Libertarian Party.

For the position of State Comptroller the choices are: Kurt Miller, Republican Party, Kevin Lembo, Democratic Party, Paul Passarelli, Libertarian Party, and Edward G Heflin, Green Party.

For the position of Attorney General the choices are: William Tong, Democratic Party, Sue Hatfield, Republican Party, Peter D. Goselin, Green Party.
