Montville Man Seriously Injured In Route 32 Moped Crash

MONTVILLE, CT — A 31-year-old local man was seriously injured when the moped he was driving hit a utility pole, according to police.

Edward Mabe of 142 Maple Ave., was wearing a helmet and was riding solo Saturday morning when the accident occurred on Route 32. Police said he was traveling a around 30 MPH when he struck the pole.

He was transported to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. His condition is unknown.
