The upgrades featured at this restaurant are reflective of a new restaurant model that has been successfully rolled out in hundreds of McDonald’s restaurants across New England that gives guests more choice and control by evolving how they order, what they order, how they pay and how they are served.

And not only will customers notice a modern look and feel with new designs at their local Golden Arches, but they will notice new ways of ordering their favorite meals. For those looking to order at their own pace, the new and improved McDonald’s offers digital self-order kiosks that make ordering and paying for a meal easy. Kiosks empower guests to browse the menu, find new options and tailor their meal just the way they want. For those looking to order on the go, the McDonald’s mobile app allows customers to place orders and pay within the app, for quick and easy pick up by walking in to the counter, going through the drive-thru or via newly added curbside delivery. At the drive-thru, customers simply give the order code to the crew, then pull forward to the pick-up window.

Local customers will also see another new offering, table service. Guests’ orders are delivered to tables by McDonald’s crew members, allowing customers to relax and enjoy a more custom and relaxed dining experience. McDonald’s owner/operators and restaurant teams are placing a higher emphasis on hospitality by focusing on greeting customers, assisting with technology and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment. This new modernization is about transforming the customer experience through enhanced hospitality and with the addition of self-order kiosks restaurants are transitioning some roles to more customer engaging positions likeGuest Experience Leaders and table service, creating more opportunities for employees to interact with guests.

“We’re happy to be delivering a better experience in customer dining and choice to Montville, said Dick & Kathryn Spero, local McDonald’s owner/operators. “We’ve all had the traditional interaction at a McDonald’s restaurant. You approach the counter, you place an order, you move to the next line to pick up your food and then move again to another area for straws, napkins and drinks. Now we are placing every step of this experience in the hands of our valued customers. From touch screen kiosks and mobile ordering to table service, we are redefining and reinventing the McDonald’s experience.”

The grand re-opening celebration will also feature a sweepstakes for an HDTV, which will be held from November 13 through November 18, with the final prize winners drawing to be held Sunday, November 18. Entry forms are available at the restaurant.
