Montville School Worker Fired, Accused Of Shoving Student
The former elementary school lunch monitor has been arrested by Connecticut State Police.

MONTVILLE, CT — A 53-year-old former Montville elementary school lunch monitor has been arrested in connection with a March 2018 incident in which she was accused of shoving a fourth grade student to the ground, according to state police.
Arrested on a warrant Monday on charges of second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a child was Oakdale resident Ricarla Horsley. She was fired from Dr. Charles E. Murphy School, where the incident occurred, soon after the 2018 incident.
School video allegedly shows Horsley shove the 11-year-old student, who fell out of his chair and hit his head on the ground. He was not injured, though state police said he complained his head hurt but Horsley dismissed it at the time as he was "faking."
